A New Day

Well...this is a new day and I am learning how to blog...I have so much to learn. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. My children are grown and now I have some time for myself. Thanks to the encouragement of a very special friend I have taken my photography from private hobby to sharing it publicly resulting in some very nice feedback. Before my children moved away from home I decided to teach myself how to paint the images in my photos, hoping this would help me to deal with the "empty nest" feelings that I knew were coming. Although the artwork is a somewhat of a distraction there is nothing that could have prepared me for the onslaught of emotions that would hit me when those bedrooms became empty. Now I have filled one of those rooms with photography, paintings and art supplies and it has become my haven. It will take me some time but I would like to share what I create in this haven that has become my studio:)
